Transport

The closest metro station to the conference site is Bibliothèque François Mitterand, which is served by Metro no 14 and RER C, as well as several bus lines, including no 64 (Place d'Italie-Gambetta) and no 89 (to/from Quartier Latin). In addition, there is a tram stop nearby (Avenue de France), which can be useful, if you are staying in the South or East of Paris near the boulevard périphérique.

Finally, here is some information on travel times to expect from the conference site to select airports/train stations:

• Gare de l'Est: 25min (M°14 from Bibliothèque + M°4 from Chatelet)
• Gare du Nord: 24min (RER C from Bibliothèque + RER B from St Michel- Notre Dame)
• Orly:
  • 50min by public transport from either Bibliotheque (RER C + Navette) or Avenue de France (Tram+Orlybus)
  • 15-20 min by taxi (@ 30 €; forfait rive gauche) according to http://www.parisaeroport.fr/passagers/acces/paris-orly/taxi/taxi-orly and Google Maps; watch out for traffic jams though, if travelling by road (taxi/Orlybus) at certain hours (16h-19h)
• Roissy (CDG):
  • 55+min (RER C from Bibliotheque + RER B from St Michel- Notre Dame)
